Every ranking on this site comes from your answers and a fixed set of published rules. No publisher can pay to change a score or a position.

For every program we read parent reviews (forums, Reddit, review sites) and publisher materials, then record how it fits each answer in the quiz: for example, whether it suits a child who struggles, how much a parent teaches, and whether it's spiral or mastery. Each fit gets a score from strongly negative to strongly positive, with a short reason. Every profile lists its sources.
Every question is optional. When you answer a question, only that question's rules count. If you choose "Prefer not to answer" or skip it, that question is left out, so the more you answer, the more accurate the ranking. For each question, a program earns points from its own fit, compared with the best fit any program has for that answer.

A program's points are divided by the best possible total for your answers, so 100% means it fits every answer as well as any program can. Two more rules apply:

Rankings summarize what many families report. They can't know your child. Use your shortlist as a starting point, look at samples and placement tests, and trust what you see at your own table.
