Parents like that Foundations wraps reading, spelling, handwriting and grammar into one scripted program, so there's nothing else to buy for the early years. The most common frustration is cost across four levels, and a few parents find the multisensory games take longer than a plain phonics lesson.
Parents value the rigor and steady review, and many say it produces strong, well-drilled readers. The trade-off is pace: it moves fast and can overwhelm a struggling or very active child, and the video-school option to hand off teaching costs extra.
